Used Cars: buying a car, mercedes benz c230 kompressor, 2005 mercedes benz c230 kompressor

Hi, I'm interested in buying a 2005 Mercedes-Benz C230 Kompressor sport but I'm leery on a few things.  First, the price seems to good to be true - asking 17000US.  Is this about right?  Second, how much $$ can be expected in repair cost for these type of vehicle?  And finally, the car is being sold in the US and I live in Canada, would you recommend buy from the US?

Hey Dan,
The price you are getting is a good price, there are allot of vehicles in the states that are way cheaper then Canada but, you must look into what is needed to import it. I have friend that just imported a Mercedes from LA to Canada and they have experienced many problems (ie: even though the speedo was digital and could convert into kms instead of miles the dealership would not let it pass a Canada safety that is required from Mercedes as per Canadian rules, they had to buy a $5000.00 dash and wait over a month for it to come in) So as you can tell it is quite a process with Mercedes.
