Used Cars: down payment, legal choices, downpayment

can i get my down payment back from a vehicle i took home but have not signed any contract papers yet,also will they end up keeping some of that money because its been 3 days now because were still working with finance comp.

You may or may not be able to get it back... if you haven't signed anything it may be possible.. but at the same time the downpayment could be viewed as entering an agreement to purchase the vehicle.. - I would take the vehicle back, explain why you don't want it, and see what they say... the legal choices you have will probably depend on how some one interprets the situation you are in, but if they won't willingly give you the down-payment back... it wouldn't hurt to ask a lawyer - (or a legal advice expert on all-experts...) - but definitely try to go through the dealer first.... they should willingly help you to maintain their reputation..
