Used Cars: 1986 Chrysler LeBaron, chrysler lebaron, 1986 chrysler lebaron

Question
I asked somebody else on this site a couple days ago and need an answer soon. I havent heard back from them. And I want to sell this car asap... so if you can answer it great if not please dont sit on it for a couple of days just let me know so I can ask somebody (sorry if that was too straight forward I just cant get an answer anywhere)

so here goes

We are moving and need to sell our car. It MUST be sold soon as we also need the money. But we dont want to go to cheap. I have no idea how much to charge. I paid $800 for it from a family member and thought it was a good deal. Here is the info about the car:
--------------------------------------...
1986 Chrysler LeBaron Convertible (Dark Red Black Canvas Dark red inside as well)
(digital)AM/FM Cassette, AC, Heat, all dials work

Maroon Leather interior (minor rips driver seat) other then that interior is perfect

Black canvas top VERY good condition

Runs
Smokes a bit
Its an automatic
no dents, clean paint, clean title
automatic locks, windows, top, all work great
Only problem is the smoke it smokes a lot at start up and then less and less as it runs... and we put in some weird junk to stop smoke and it helps but doesnt last all too long...and it can use a new motor but that isn't neccessary quite yet. minor crack in windsheild
Good tires, breaks, everything else
174K miles

I dont know what else I need to tell you about it... If you need more info let me know...

I am going to try and sell it on Craigslist. At first we were thinking 500 just to get it off our hands but will people pay more?
And how can I  "SELL" the car to the people... What Shouldnt I say (still being honest however) What should I say, what kind of pictures? I can video the engine running (with sound) should I post that?

Any other info would be great.

How much should I charge for it? I was thinknig of asking 600 could I get more??

Thank you thank you thank you

Answer
With an old car like that - it will depend a lot on the condition... I would just post pictures (2 of exterior, 1 engine, 1 interior), also list it on oodle.com - don't worry too much about the video... I would start by asking 800 - and going down 100 per week - until its sold (but you should probably list it at 650-700 or so for a faster sale.. be willing to go down 50 or 100 dollars) - Just be honest.. there is nothing you shouldn't say because you always want the buyer to know everything they can... if it smokes as bad as you say - you may have to let her go for cheap.. it means the gaskets are probably all shot and it will need a new engine (and engines aren't cheap) - never hurts to start high and work down though.. (I would personally list it at 650 if it were me)...
