Used Cars: Volvo 240, volvo product, volvo 240

Hi--thanks for taking my question.

I've always liked the old 1992-93 Volvo 240 sedans. I'm thinking of buying one. (This is for general use around town. We have a newer, main car for the family.) I'm seeing a few out there--most of them around 150K miles. Am I nuts for doing that? Are they expensive to maintain/repair? Any advice is appreciated.

Hey Scott,
The Volvo 240 series are a very reliable vehicle, no matter of the mileage as long as they are maintained regularly they are bullet proof! Make sure you know a mechanic that knows the Volvo product well. If they try to inflate the prices of parts claiming "its a Volvo parts are alot more money"  They are scamming you
