Used Cars: 1999 Mazda 626 LX, mazda 626 lx, mechanical history

I am going to look at a 1999 Mazda 626 Lx tomorrow. It has 230000 highway kilometers,asking price is $1400 dollars as is or $1800 safetied and e-tested. He put new brakes on it 2 weeks ago,new battery 4 months ago.It looks like a well taken care of car. I will get more information on work done mechanically. What do you think of this car brand? What should I offer him? ........Thanks Mike

Those cars are quite reliable, you should defiantly ask for more mechanical history! 1800 seems like a decent price for the car if he is going to safety it. 1500 is always better but make sure it goes to your own mechanic for a look over before you invest !
