Used Cars: no title recieved on used truck, bill of sale, last resort

how do I fix this we have not received our title, he has our cash and all we have is a truck with a transmission that went out in 3 days and a bill of sale.  How do I get this taken care of, I would be glad to just take my money back and give him his truck back

How did you guys buy the truck without ever signing the title over? Didn't the owner have the title? You should have gotten it at the time of purchase...

I doubt the owner will take the truck back - since the used sale is as-is - You need to talk to whoever has the title and make sure you get your hands on it ASAP - right now the truck is still in the previous owners name... You can ask him if he would take it back - but its not likely... If worse comes to worse - you need to go to the DMV with the bill-of-sale and explain to them what is going on.. they may issue another title - or force whoever has it to get it to you... or you may have to take him to court for it.. but only as a last resort. Contact whoever holds the title - and if no luck - go to the DMV and explain the situation. If you think the guy would go for it - you can call him and ask about a return...
