Used Cars: 2000 Volvo XC70 AWD with 141,000 miles, volvo xc70, good cars

We are looking for to buy a safe second car. Someone is selling a 2000 Volvo XC70 AWD with 141,000 miles for $5,500. With that many miles is this just throwing money away? Whats the lifespan on these?

The Volvos are fantastic cars in safety, reliability and long term.  And the price seems to be a pretty fair price, assuming that it is in good condition.  I would still run a carfax report on it, and have a mechanic check it over, but as for the Volvo XC70 itself, they are pretty good cars and would probably be a good buy.  For that car, that mileage is of no concern, in my opinion, you can still get another 200k to 300k out of the car, with good maintenance.  Good luck and I hope it goes well for you.
