Used Cars: Taking over someone elses payments, words of advice, mazda3

Question
My nephew owns a 05 Mazda and in one month I have to turn in my vehicle (leased).  Since he decided to go into the Army he has no use for his car now and can't take it with him when he is deployed to another country.  So, I would like to take over his payments.  How does that work and will the warranty transfer as well?  What should I watch out for?  It's a 05 Mazda3 with 9k miles on it.  Mostly highway to ND and back to MI again.  Any words of advice?

Answer
You really need to check with the dealer that has the financing.  Your nephew could possibly add your name to the title, but as far as knowing for sure if that would work or not you need to contact the company it is financed with.  Same thing on the warranty, you may have to pay a small transfer fee, but if you can possibly get the vehicle and payments in your name, transferring the warranty should be the easy part.
