Used Cars: What kind of car to get with $4000 max, integras, carfax

hello
i have around $4000 max to spend on a used car. i prefer 2 door japanese coupes. however, with $4000, i dont know what kind of car i can get. i seen a lot of cars like eclipse and integras for udner $4000 but i dont know what to expect from these 86 and under cars, like don't know if it will cause a lot of problems or if cars under $4000 will require a lot of maintenance. you opinion is very well appreciated. thank you for your time.

Well you are on the right track, and you should be able to get a 1997 or newer Honda for that type of money, with somewhere between 100k and 180k miles.  I am not a big fan of the eclipse's, or mitsubishi as a whole, and it might be tough to find an Integra for that price range.  I would definetly lean toward honda and toyota, but more than anything, run a carfax on a car, and have some mechanic check it over for you.  At that price Range the condition the vehicle is in, is a major part of making an informed decision.  If you get a Honda or Toyota, you should not have a lot of maintenance to perform.  Good luck.
