-----Question-----
when i turn on the car theres a grinding noise from the cerpinteen belts but im not sure what im dealing with. when i reve up the engin a little bit the sound gets worse. when i drive the car it has a constant sound. what do i need to change or do with it.
-----Answer-----
My old eclipse had a problem with the belt getting too loose over time, and all we had to do was tighten it.  You say it makes a grinding noise? or is it more of a squeal?  A loud high pitched squeal is usually a sign that the belt is loose, and you can just increase the tension on the belt.  A grinding noise could mean several different things which would be hard to diagnose over the internet... It sounds like a loose belt to me... should be a simple fix... Eventually on my 1995 eclipse the belt stretched to where it wouldn't tighten any more, and we had to buy a new one... but that was fairly simple as well... Hope this helps..

its squils when i turn it on and turn the whell. could it be power stearing. cause i checked that and there was nothing it there.

Answer
It makes the noise when you turn it on, and turn the wheel? and accelerate? The turning on and acceleration seems like a loose belt... the turning the wheel sounds like it may have something to do with your power steering pump... tighten the belt and see if that fixes atleast one of those... you may wish to just get it checked out if it doesn't do anything.. could save you a lot of time and parts swapping...
