Trucking: do I need trailer insurance, hotshot business, dodge 3500

Question
I have a dodge 3500 and a  gooseneck trailer that gross 24000 pounds do I need insurance on the trailer for hotshot business

Answer
Charles, probably not.
Just make sure your liability and auto policy covers you when towing a trailer.  The only reason to insure the trailer is if you have it financed and the lender requires it for their protection.  I am assuming you own thwe trailer and are self insured in the event of a loss to the trailer.
Your cargo liability should cover the goods you are hauling.
