Trucking: starting up, trucking business, fuel surcharge

would you say the way fuel prices are now, it is a good idea to open a trucking business?

Logan, it's no better or worse than any other time.  To succeed you need customers who value your service and you need to understand all of the costs of doing business, both fixed and variable including fuel.  You must have a fuel surcharge in place to protect yourself from fluctuating prices.  Best of luck.
