Trucking: sleeping berth, auto transport company, god bless israel

My wife & I own & operate a small auto transport company.
we have a 2001 3500 dually p/u we are wanting to know if we are able to use a truck cap to sleep in while we are BOTH off duty.I understand that there are some restriction on a sleeper berth while in motion but if my wife & I are both off duty can we use this truck cap to legaly rest our required time.

Hi Michael,

You can not use the cab of the truck as a stationary sleeper berth, nor as off duty rest break. The dimensions of a legal sleeper berth are defined in the Federal Regulations. The cab of the truck does not meet the requirements.
