can a codriver log on the off duty line when in the passenger seat? and if not dose the codriver have to be on the on duty not driving line when in the passenger seat.?

Hi Skye, The DOT Regulations state the co-driver in the passenger seat must log "On Duty-Not Driving". The only exception is near the end of the trip, If the co-driver is not expected to perform any more duties before going "Off-Duty",for a period of 10 hours, he must log this time as "Off-Duty". 395.1 (j)"Travel Time" J P Long
