Trucking: hot shot trucking, trucking co, keyword section

I will retire in Aug 2007 I have been working for a trucking co for 37 years as a mechanic.Is there any part time hot shot driving jobs ?I am in Louisville Ky.

Hi Charles.

Let me first start out by saying Congradulations on your 37 years!  I have a friend who has been a mechanic since the days of the "Screamin Jimmy" and he talks fondly of all those years.

On to your driving job.  I'm sure you can find something part time.  Off hand, I know of full time, but not part time positions.  I'm also not sure if you have a truck or are looking to drive for someone else.  My best advice would be to go to www.superpages.com and type in "trucking" in the keyword section along with Louisville.  Now you can see all the companies in your area and start making some calls or stop in.  Some of these companies may have a special, dedicated position.
They can also lead you to someone that does.

Past that, get on www.expeditorsonline.com and talk to some of the Hot Shot drivers there.  They can help you out too.
