Trucking: starting my own trucking business, carrier area, start ups

Question
my question is will i really be profitable in being an owner operator to the point to where i can support my family and possibly purchase more trucks to increase my fleet?

Answer
Good morning,
Start Ups can be very expensive, and you should have a fair amount of money in the bank. If you are going to lease to a motor carrier, it will be easier for you to get running, but generally you will not be very profitable. Most carriers are organized to get you moving their freight as fast as you can, but in exchange for that keep a large portion of the profit. If you are set up to carry a large cost, you should get your own operating rights. You obviously also need some experience in the art of negotiating and credit analysis area. I specialize in getting folks out of the leasing to a carrier area and on their own footing. We offer programs that ensure the success of both the operator and my company as well. Particularly in the area of cash flow. This will be your biggest hurdle, but their are "Factoring Companies" that allow you to get paid the day you turn in your paperwork.
Without knowing your experience level, it is hard for me to predict the level of success you would enjoy. Sorry, but I hope this has been helpful. Ask anymore questions, or provide more information and I will try to be of further help.
