Trucking: invoce, invoice form, documentation procedures

pleae advice on the proffesional invocing wording.

we were hold up and not loeaded for 2 days -- how do we biil the client for these two days and what the right wording do we use on the invocie.
this is law firm and they will exam each word before they pay.

Steve, before you bill anything, what does your contract say?  You can use any standard invoice form you want, but you're not likely to collect anything that wasn't agreed to in writing.
If you have a contract this will generaly be listed as "Detention" and will spell out the amount of "Free Time" and the charges beyond the free time and any documentation procedures require to bill it.  If you don't have a contract with your client you need to ask for one and negotiate the charges for the future.
