Amy, not knowing your background it's hard to say where to start.  Here is a possability:

Many dispatchers are former truck drivers and many train on the job.  There are so many different types of operations that  the dispach jobs can vary from company to company or even within the same company.  Most use technology to keep track of loads and drivers so you will need to learn whatever system the particular company uses. If you have any type of similar experience you can probably find a company with on-job training.  Good luck.
