Trucking: Driving Question, adreana, manitoba canada

Question
Hi there, I live in Manitoba Canada, and my question is hopefully pretty simple.  I have been driving for only a couple of years, and what still eludes me completely is the ability to back up succesfully.  The course I took was just very basic for the purpsoe of passing a road test really.  I started out in a team position with my husband and have almost driven him crazy in my inability to back up successfully.  Any help or suggestions you could give me would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Answer
Hello  Cindy, I believe you are the first to ask me a question outside USA. So, I guess I am now an INTERNATIONAL
consultant.
To get to your question,  I taught a driving school for 3 years.  I taught: 1.To always back so that you can see the rear of the trailer by looking out the driver's window.
Avoid backing from the "blindside".  2. Try to position the
trailer as close as posible to the spot to be back into. (Pull by it up close and swing out first to the right and then turn tractor to left so can see down side of trailer. 3. Back in a low speed, watching back corner of trailer, keeping it aimed at the spot to back into. 4. Try to straighten up as soon as possible and then start watching in both mirrors to hit the spot.
Hope this help.    JLong2500@aol.com
