Trucking: safety manager in transportation, motor carrier safety, state trucking associations

Wayne, I'm looking information about to become a
safety manager in transportation, like managing all the truck files, logs, fuel taxes, dot regulations. inspecting trucks and have everything up-dated in case of an DOT inpection.
Do you know if any organization offers this kind of classes?.

I don't know what state you live in but most State Trucking Associations offer training sessions on most of these issues. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Association offer  courses on safety and compliance issues in their Oklahoma City office from time to time that is open to the public sector. JJ Keller& Associates of Neenah Wisconsin phone 800-558-5011 also offer training any of the above can give you a basic background but hands on practal experence is still the best teacher.
