Trucking: Newbie companies, driving school, jb hunt

Hey Kevin,

Newbie here, still in driving school.  Any advice on good companies to start out with?  I'm in Southern California.  There are so many options out there and a lot of shady offers, I wonder if you could help me weed through some of it.

Hi Dan,


While most guys don't like them, they are a good way to start out. I am talking about JB Hunt, they will train you, and get you out there. Also, Schneider does alot with training. Both are very good to start out with. Pay is comparable. What I will do, is give you a website, they will give you the best job ideas. What will happen, is although you are in school, they will send you to their school. And train you. The two above, as I mentioned, are good, along with Werner, and M.S. Carriers, and so many others. The best option I could give you, might be going with either Schneider, or Werner. Although JB Hunt is a good one to start out with, too.
