Truck Repair: lack of rpms, peterbilt, n14

I have a 2000 peterbilt with a n14 plus cummins motor and recently it has had a n issue with lack of power and super low rpms compared to what it used to have I have a code that flashes a 1-4-1 I am just kinda curious is to what that may be other that that the engine runs and idles real smooth

I'm not sure what the code is.You can call a cummins dealer and give them the code.They may want the engine serial number.A lot of the codes your engine stores will cause what most people call a power cut back mode which keeps your engine from running at full potential so you can't damage the engine.If you need me to find out what the code is for you send me a follow up question with the engine serial number and I will find out. sorry about the delay.
