Inter have 98 truck engine Cummins M 11 Plus, the problem is that Inter have 98 truck engine Cummins M 11 Plus, the problem is that the engine will not start until the smell gasoline or ether, and I need to connect extra batteries gives it up, this problem began four months ago, but yesterday morning I tried all ways but to no avail, I took the truck to check the workshop InJictor, diesel pump  and said it was good, now with (gaz  Ether)or Kerosene takes off for five minutes and then stops, what is the solution ........ Is the engine addicted?

Whenever it requires to snuff an engine using ether or other stuffs, it is an indication of problems with fuel not getting into the engine cylinders. This may be caued by any or all of the following:
1. Contaminated fuel
2. Worn out fuel pump
3. stuck or seized shutdown valve.
4. Current not reaching the shutdown valve solenoid.
5. injectors not opening (Not receiving correct voltage)
6. Bad injectors
7. ECM problems.
Ascertain if you have some faults codes displayed in your truck and carry out troubleshooting as necessary. However, I advise you visit a Cummins garage near you for further help.
