Nissan Repair: Nissan truck 95 wont accelerate fast, vacuum leak, vacuum hose

Question
Mr. Von, I'll hope you can guide me to fix the problem with this truck. Sometimes I need to press the clutch twice to start it. Also, there is a "vacuum" when accelerating fast and gaining RPM's and I must try again by accelerating slowly until I reach fast speeds (in the Beltway for example). I am spending more gasoline than usual because these reasons. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Answer
Conquer,

Pressing the clutch twice would indicate that the clutch safety switch is going out or needs to be adjusted.  I would just replace it.  The second thing is a vacuum leak on the engine.  You need to look the engine over and check for a loose or cracked vacuum hose.  Your mileage will come back when you correct this one.
