Truck Repair: wires, wire colour, light harness

i have a 1982 cheval pickup i like to know the colores wires to hookup a triales to it the wires 1 yellow 2 lightgreen 1darkgreen 1 brown the trialre wires 1 brown 1yellow 1darkgreen 1 white

Hi kyle,
Your trailer wire colour codes are: yellow-left signal, green-right signal, brown-marker/tail, white-ground. FYI: there are plugs on the market that plug into your rear light harness and have a 4 pin connector or a cable with a 4 pin. this way you don't have to worry about corrosion getting into your spliced wires. it is easy to install...you unplug your light harness at the rear of your truck and plug the harness back into this unit.
