Answer
I did answer this question in detail yesterday but it disappeared with a "prompt 65,000 character limit".

However, find the folowing summary;
1. Fault codes 145; 221; 322; 325; 331; 332 and 432 will cause engine to derate only.
2. Fault code 241 VSS circuit is a common pheomenon on trucks. All you need do on this is check the harness leading to the VSS on rear of gearbox/transmisssion for twisting or cut. Then check the resistance of the VSS 750 to 1000 ohms. Install properly by screwing the sensor down until it touches the gear teeth and then back off 1/2 to 3/4 turns and lock with locknut.
3. Fault 434 is unswitched battery supply circuit and can be responsible for hardstarting or engine dying. Check your battery votage, the 15 amps fuses, and cabling to the starter. If you have a battery master switch on your truck check for shortcircuiting. If you check these check that the faults become inactive.
4.  Lastly, pls. contact Cummins rep office closest to you for detailed troubleshooting with "insite"
