Nissan Repair: 94 sentra wont start, light thanks, cold start

Question
I just replaced a bad fuel injector and the car ran great for 2 days. Now It won't start. Has fuel and spark. It will spit a few times if I hold the throttle open while cranking the starter. What sensors can fail so catastrophically that the engine wont start (no check engine light). Thanks for your time

Answer
Hi Randy -

Without knowing what happened before it did not start is important for the diagnosis. Did the car just suddenly die out, or was it a gradual performance degrade? Did the car just did not start one day?

Have you tried priming the throat of the intake manifold? Could be a cold start valve. Do you smell gas when you crank it? If so, you might be flooding out the chamber. Pull a couple plugs out and see if it is wet with gas. If so, remove them all and dry them out, crank the engine while the plugs are out to get all the gas out, and try again. If it still acts the same, then perhaps when the injector was replaced some debris got into the manifold and is interfering with performance (clogging or flooding an injector).

Hope this helps
