Truck Repair: Torsion bars, control arm bushings, torsion bar

Question
I have had my 99 Jimmy to a few places had a wheel alignment down and torsion bar adjusted. Can here a clunk at low speed turns. Rear torsion bar adjuster is cranked in on passenger side and rubs on frame. At the front the driver's side bar is back about an inch compared to front of passenger side. Is it possible the driver side torsion bar may be bent causing this strain.

Answer
Hi James,
It is possible, but I kinda doubt it.
You can jack the truck up by the frame, to take the pressure off of the torsion bar, and using a big punch or bar, and a hammer, drive the drivers side bar foreward, or the passengers side rearward...whichever will keep the keys(adjustment levers) from rubbing or hitting. They just sit there.
Check your ball joints and control arm bushings for slack, as well as the idler arm.
Make sure the steering gear box mounting bolts at the frame are tight also.
