Truck Repair: 1999 Chevy Tahoe starting problems, chevy tahoe, fuel pump relay

Question
I recently had my entire brake setup redone after someone refilled the brake system with gear oil, which damaged all the rubber parts. The battery was disconnected during this for the anti-lock brakes. Everything is back together, but it won't start. It turns over, but immediately stops running. Could this be a fuel safety shut off problem? It ran fine when it was brought into the shop.

Answer
Hi Dana,
Sounds like maybe the fuel pump in the tank is only running for the initial three seconds. See if a wire was accidentally pulled loose from the fuel pump relay. Look all over the engine compartment for loose connectors, and ground wires.

I would probably connect a fuel pressure tester, just to isolate that area.
