Truck Repair: Knock when you turn the steeling wheel, steering wheel, tilt steering

Question
There is a knock when I turn my steering wheel.Any solutions

Answer
Hi Kearney.
Depends on where the knock is.
If it is in the tilt steering, and there is some slop in the tilt joint, there are some screws that work loose down in the column.
If the knock is out under the front, check the steering gear box to see if the bolts are loose, and the box is moving.

There could also be something rubbing against the shaft, especially at the joint in it under the hood.
