Truck Repair: head gasket, head gasket, oil holes

Question
Cliff,My front head gasket was leaking you could see it bubbling when I let it idle,Also when I pull a hill the motor would knock I think that was from compression leak since front head gasket was leaking right? I had the front head gasket replaced today, drove truck about 1 hour got home checked it and I saw small bubbles around the front of head is that normal not sure what to do,have 1998 century N14 cummins,do I need to take it back to mechanic?

Answer
The head gasket actually doesn't set on the block flush like other engines. The liners protrude 0.004-0.007 which grommets seal off the water & oil holes.Any excess coolant or oil left from the repair will eventually get out. They probably didn't clean the top of the block completely.Keep an eye on it for a bit to see if it stops,if not take it back.
