Truck Repair: 1994 Chevy Truck Fuel Problems, crankshaft sensor, fuel pump relay

Question
I have a 1994 chevy truck i replaced the fuel filter and the fuel pump and it still wont start. One minute it gets fuel and then the next it wont. Whats the problem?

Answer
Hi David,
First thing I would do is connect a fuel pressure tester, and see if pressure remained when the truck isn't getting fuel, or if it drops.
If the pressure is still there, then the injectors are not getting a signal for some reason. Crankshaft sensor, ECM, wire connector, loose fuse, etc.

If the pressure drops, causing the lack of fuel, check the pressure regulator, fuel pump relay, or a wire connection.
