Truck Repair: 2000 chevy silverado keeps dying, chevy silverado, air control valve

Question
i have a 2000 silverado with 4.8l. is is 4x4 also. in the mornings when its cold most of the time it will start. then it seems it idle fine. but when i take it down the road it dies at stops or going like 10 or slower. when you give it gas it idles good then sorta bottoms out then dies. i have allready put a idle air control valve on it checked the fuel pressure which is good. the weird thing is only in the day when its coldest it does it. like in the morning it could be 25 it will do it.then later say 50.it wont die on me.???? sorry so long but i have clue and no service engine light.

Answer
One little thing that comes to mind, is if it is 25 degrees, and there is water in the gas, it could freeze, but above 32 it won't. You could have water trapped in the filter that is restricting fuel flow in freezing weather.
I'd change the filter, and catch some in a clean glass jar, and see if some water puddles in the bottom of the jar.
Catch the fuel in the filter also, and dump it out of the filter inlet into a pan or jar, and see if some water dumps out of it also.
