Truck Repair: Oil shooting out of filler cap 69 ford f 100, oil filler cap, ford f 100

Question
I am looking at getting a 1969 Ford F 100 the truck is in fair condition for the year an what not the motor runs with no knocks, but the only problem is oil shoots out of the oil filler cap, I was wondering if this would be a serious problem, or something that would be worth over looking in getting it and go ahead and getting it?  I am thinking I can get it for around 300 to 400 dollars.

Answer
Depending if this is for a restore project or daily driver.Oil coming out of the oil fill cap is one of two things, too much oil in engine or too much blow-by.Check the oil level then take the cap off & see how much pressure is in the crankcase. If it has blow-by it will usually do this under a load or at higher RPMs.
