Volvo Repair: Burglar Alarm, engine immobiliser, burglar alarm

Question
I purchased a 940 Turbo estate, 1993 vintage, the problem is, the car has been fitted with an Sparkrite alarm and engine immobiliser which seems to have developed a mind of it's own the main problem being the immobiliser,I have disconnected the alarm, however from time to time the engine will refuse to start and I have to wait at least half an hour before it re-sets itself, basically I want to remove the whole set up or at least render it useless, I understand this will be wired to a relay, could you tell me which one please and will the removal of this connection be all that is required?

Answer
Alarms vary from brand to brand and installation methods varies between shop to shop. So it's hard to say which wire to disconnect. An alarm installation company will be able to disable the system correctly.
To save some money, you may want to buy another alarm and have it installed and at the same time remove the old set-up. This'll be cheaper than having  them just remove the old alarm.
