Truck Repair: 6.5 turbo, stalling . now wont start., google search, injector pump

Question
95 2500 pickup and 96 tahoe both 6.5 turbo diesel, the problem is stalling whille running, driving and just idleing, for the most part would start rite back up and act like it never happend and not do it again for a while, but now the tahoe just cranks and wont start. the 2500 just started doing the same thing as the tahoe. 96 tahoe has 312,000 miles, the 95 2500 has 230,000 miles, i changed the fuel filters on both trucks, but made no differance. i dont know what to do and i dont have any more cars or trucks to drive, need help fast. Thanks

Answer
Hi Steve,
I had the exact same problem. I was lucky on mine, though, because I found a link where GM extended the warranty on the injector pump to 100,000 miles and ten years, and they replaced the pump. But the pump is where my problem was. Do a google search.

Another problem they had was the FSD controller, which is located on the side of the injector pump. It overheats. There is a aftermarket kit to relocate it up in the air stream.
Search for FSD Cooler.
