Ford Repair: Broken Dashboard vent on passenger side, dash material, ford taurus

   The dashboard vent on the passnger side of my 1992 Ford Taurus wagon is broken. I have a 1995 sedan which looks identical and I may be able to remove that part to replace into my 1992. How do I remove the piece if possible? I wouldn't want to tear up the surrounding dash material if possible. It looks as if could be pried out, but that's why I am asking the expert.

I would have to see this to be sure, but as I recall you can pry this vent out,with a small flat blade screwdriver or similar along the side of the vent, in the middle. Some of them you pry on the top or bottom, don't remember which years. It should not take much force to pop it out.

I broke my left ankle in February and am still not wearing shoes. But healing nicely. Once I return to work I will have to answer questions in the evenings, but I enjoy working my brain if not my hands.
