Truck Repair: My idle speed, vacuum leaks, throttle body injection

Question
I was wandering how I would change the idle on my 92 chevy blazer. It does not have fuel injectors it has two throttle bodies. It seems like the car is at such a low idle that it is going to die. It has a bad rumble in it because of the low idle. I was wandering if it was easy enough for a beginner like me to change? If you know how I would appriciate the tips. Thank you

Answer
Hello Jonathon,
Actually, what it has is one throttle body, kinda looks like a carburetor, with two throats, and above each throat is an injector. That is throttle body injection.

The idle is controlled by the ecm, but it assumes proper readings from several sensors.

There is an idle air control valve that screws into the throttle body, and it should be cleaned. You can remove it, or clean it in place with spray carb cleaner.

You should also make sure there are no vacuum leaks, and clean the egr valve.

The timing should be checked and adjusted if necessary. Be sure to disconnect the spark timing bypass while checking it.
