iam having prombles with my fuel gauge and coolant gauge not working in my truck i have gas in the truck but it still says its on empty
Answer -
The fuel gauge works off a pot switch to ground,the same way your dash light dimmer switch..turn it one way & the lights are bright,the other way they are dim.It is usally a loose wire or bad sending unit. question/ where do i find the pot switch to ground and or sending unit.

There should be a single wire on the fuel gauge unit in the center.Sorry,but it is located on top of the fuel tank.Might can just ground it out & have some one watch the gauges to see it it moves the fuel hand.(with the key switch in the on position)But if that does not work & both gauges not working,it might be a problem in the dash wiring.
