I have a 1977 ford f-250 with a 351M engine.
I cranked the engine over with the line from the fuel pump the to carb apart and still didn't get fuel,,,,,,,,,, might I have a problem with my cam?

Hi Curt,
Guess that's possible, since it drives the fuel pump. Pull the distributor cap off and see if the rotor is turning.
Or, if the oil pressure gauge pumps pressure while you are cranking it over, the oil pump, driven by the distributor shaft, and both are driven by the camshaft.

You said the other day, I believe, that you replaced the fuel pump.
Are you sure you got the right one, and if so, did you get it in correctly?

If the suction hose to the fuel pump leaks air, it won't suck gas.

And lastly, is it possible that you could have connected the lines wrong to the pump?
