Truck Repair: 1989 GMC Sierra 4x4 350hp front suspention, lower ball joints, new shaft

Question
I have written 3 times before and have never recieved an answer. So I will try again.
My left front tire vibrates or hops violetly.
I can jack the truck up, put it on jack stands and try to rotate the tire, but it will only rotate about a half turn and stop.  You can force it past that half turn and it will go about another half turn.  I disconnected it from the cv axel and the differitial spins freely.  I have put new rotor, break calapers, brakes pads, bearing hub, upper and lower ball joints and Idler arm on it.  It lessened the shaking some but it is still there.  The tire still will not rotate freely.  The cv axel is only about six months old and has plenty of grease in them.  I rotated the tires in case the rim was bent and had the tires balanced.  I'm at a loss.  I know you are probably busy, but I would appreciate it greatly if you could suggest something to try.
Also my son put a 3 inch body lift on it. I don't know if that would make a difference or not.
Thanks for your help,
Jerry

Answer
Hello Jerry,
I assume when you replaced the bearing hub, that you put new bearings in.
You ask about the lift kit. That obviously changes the angle of the axle shaft, forcing the CV joint to work, but with a new shaft assembly and bearings, I would think it would work just fine.
But since you have checked everything else, and you know what it takes to get that axle shaft in and out, what would you think about temporarily removing it, just to see if that angle is what is binding.
I might also consider contacting the supplier of the lift kit to see if they have heard of the problem happening, and if they have any suggestions.
A front end allignment is also required after the kit, but I immagine you have done that.

Good luck,
Van
