How to replace a front axle u joint on a 1998 Dodge 1500 4x4, also what tools do I need. Thanks Fern

Hi Fern,
If you mean axle, and not driveshaft, the job will probably be more than you want to tackle in the driveway.
But removing the shaft from the truck is the hardest part.
Once removed, the joint is not too hard.
If it is the CV type, you may be better off with a rebuilt shaft assembly.
