Truck Repair: Front end work, ford f 100, skilled mechanic

Question
I have a 75 Ford F-100, 2-wheel drive, what all should I replace to get the front end back in top condition, it needs to be aligned and there's lots of play in the steering ( no power steering), any help would be appreciated, Thanks.

Answer
Hi James,
The steering system is a critical safety system, and as such, I wouldn't recommend an inexperienced person replace much of anything, without an experienced mechanic assisting, or at least overseeing the work first hand.
Some of the items, like ball joints, or king pins need special tools and equipment to properly replace them also.
So for you and your families, as well as other drivers safety, please seek some advice from a local skilled mechanic.
