Vintage Cars: 1980 MGB Limited Edition, mgb limited edition, door locks

Question
I'm having a really hard time finding a copy of the door keys!  Would you happen to have a set?  I have an original copy for the ignition but that's all it seems to fit.  Isn't it supposed to open the glove box as well?  Help!

Answer
I can only quarter answer this (I really shouldn't risk my knowledge rating this way!)

In more modern cars, the glove box and ignition are often separate keys, so that you can put stuff in there safe from the valet parker. Perhaps it was so in late MGBs, but I don't know.

But the ignition and door locks should be the same, unless a previous owner had to replace the ignition switch, which would explain why it doesn't open the door.

To fix the whole thing would be quite major: a new matched (keyed) set of locks for ignition, glovebox, doors, and trunk. Does your key also work on the trunk? If it does, it's likely original, and it's the door lock that's been changed, perhaps after body work. In which case you need a new cylinder in the door lock. Locks are available from standard parts suppliers (Moss, Victoria) and with any luck you can find a locksmith to set the keying in the cylinder.
