Auto body repair & detailing: removing touch up paint, touchup paint, touch up paint

Question
Is there a safe way to remove touch up paint from your car without hurting the paint already on the vehicle?  I made a stupid mistake by doing a touch up by my window trim on my car.  I used the brush and it applied too much paint filling in the gap between the trim and the car.  Of course with the trim flexing it did separate but I was wondering if there is a way to get the touchup paint off completely?

Answer
Angie, you can remove touch-up paint with some laquer thinner ,not paint thinner,on an old rag.You should be able to scrape excess paint off of trim with your finger nail,if it is chrome trim.If it is rubber trim the thinner will work.To avoid this problem in the future apply masking tape to any areas you dont want paint on.
