Vintage Cars: 1980 mercedes 380 se (euro model), fuel pressure regulator, air meter

Question
Ron,
As a follow up to my earlier question, I have increased the system pressure to 80 psi, raised the cold pressure to 32psi @ 70 degrees, raised the warm pressure to 53psi, and now the rest pressure is 45psi. I also cleaned the fuel pressure regulator. The car now starts more aggressively and smoothly but still stalls out after a second. I re-checked the ballast resistors because as soon as I released the ignition key the engine would stall right away and the 0.6 ohm unit was showing fluctuating readings from 0.2 to 0.7 ohms so I ordered another one, the 0.4 ohm read a consistent 0.4 ohms. I am ashamed to admit it but I have also fiddled with the CO adjustment on the air meter. If I unscrew it all the way out and dial it in a half turn after every starting attempt will that be too coarse and adjustment?

Thanks for your help

Answer
no that should work, but refresh my memory, have you tested and ensured that the fuel pump is spinning up and delivering constant pressure and that the relays are good?
You have eliminated everything else, it has to be in the fuel delivery or spark delivery
