Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Craftsman Snowblowers, craftsman snowblowers, impeller shaft

Question
I believe on Nov 2/08 you were trying to help 'Doug' replace an auger on his snow blower. You said one side of the auger housing was welded and the other bolted. Both sides are welded and it wouldn't matter even if one side was bolted you could not replace the auger on the welded side in any case unless you disengage the impeller shaft from the front gear housing. You really never answered his question and as I have the same problem are you now able to solve that dilemma?

Answer
Hello Fred:

>>Sorry for the Delay. I had Trouble Locating "Dougs'" Question.
>>I Looked at the Breakdown of Dougs' Unit and it Shows the Right Side (standing at the operators Position) to be Bolted on and you are Correct; I Did Fail to Include Disengaging the Impeller Shaft from the Gear Housing.
>>Thanks for bringing this to my Attention. I will make the Corrections on the Instruction File.
>>Send me the Model Numbers Off the Unit, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manual and Better Assist you.
>>Thanks.
