Vintage Cars: 1966 Studebaker Daytona parts?, studebaker driver, studebaker factory

Question
I just found this car and I need interior parts like carpet and all side panels for rear and both stock door panels. Have not had much luck so far. Can you help me? The body was in great shape! All glass is good and chrome is good, just need door panels!!!

Answer
From what I have been told, there are still a fair amount of NOS parts available from the Studebaker factory in South Bend, IN, although I have no knowledge of this personally.

I would begin by joining the Studebaker Driver's Club as a first step - the marque clubs are ALWAYS the best source for information and assistance when it comes to restoring your car. You can contact them online at www.studebakerdriversclub.com, or call them at (763) 420-7829.

Good luck with your Daytona! As it is a '66, it is probably one of the final cars built by Studebaker. They closed the South Bend plant in '64, I believe, and all '65 and '66 cars were built in their Canadian plant.

Regards,

Dick.
