Vintage Cars: 1983 MB 380 SL, fuel pump relay, vacuum lines

Question
Hey Ron, I am working on a 1983 MB 350 SL. It first came to me 2 months ago for crank no start. I replaced the ignition module. Started and ran good, also at that time I replaced fuel filter, dist. cap, rotor, plugs and wires. The car returned today for stalling at stop lights. This car has 111767 miles on it. I have checked the plugs they are not fowled, also have traced many of the vacuum lines and only found one with a slight crack. I replaced it and still stalls while driving, mostly at stop lights or turning corners. Any ideas would help. Thanks for your time. P.S. I also checked the throttle plate, its clean and not gummed up.

Answer
380SL - correct? you mention 350
have you checkd fuel pressure, sounds like it could be a fuel pump issue, or a fuel pump relay.  I also  think that year had a safety shut off ( in case the car rolled over ) for the fuel pump .  If it does it is a two prong connector on the passengers side of the intake.  IT could be  going bad.  start with the relay and fuel pump

Other things to check

idle control relay
idle control valve
throttle position switch

good luck
