Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): JD LT150 Engine Replacement, john deere lt150, kawasaki engine

Question
Hello-  I have a John Deere LT150 with a blown Kohler CV15S thanks to my father-in-law.   I've found several used verticals in my area and wanting to know which one would be the best fit.  The first is a CV15 and would drop right in but is in so so condition.  The other is a Kawasaki 14hp from a JD LX176 and a Briggs 15hp from a Craftsman.  I'm interested in the Kawasaki and the price is right. Just don't want to do too many mods to make it fit. Any suggestions are appreciated.  Thanks Michael

Answer
Hello Mike:

>>My Choice from the 3 Engines you Listed would be the Kawasaki Engine. It will be the Easiest and Quickest to Set in Place of your Old Engine and the Modifications will be Few if Any.
>>You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Engine and Mower at this Site Addy, http://jdpc.deere.com/jdpc/servlet/com.deere.u90490.partscatalog.view.servlets.H... and Enter the Model Numbers and Click Find. Then Select your Model from the Search Results Area. Then Select the Sectional File. Then Select the Section of the Mower you Wish to View Online.
>>Please, Do Not Hesitate, If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem, I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
